My New Years Goal

Can we just take a minute here and realize how fast this year went by? This has been the most chaotic, busy, and growing year yet! I have truly grown so much this year, you can hear all about it in my Thank You 2016 post. This year was filled with self growth, lots of weddings, and new and exciting experiences. I cannot wait to see what 2017 has to offer and what I will make of it!

I always set unrealistic resolutions and never stick to them, like, eating healthy and working out. I did eat a lot healthier this year but I worked out a total of 4 times this year. (Working out just isn't my thing) Maybe this year I will be successful at it! I really do intend to have a healthier lifestyle this next year, along with other goals I am setting.

My Christmas Wrapping

Guys, Christmas is less than a week away and I cannot even believe it! It is time to get those last minute present bought, wrapped, and put under the tree for everyone to see.

Ever since I have been old enough to purchase my own gifts and my own gift wrap, wrapping presents has become one of my favorite Christmas activities. I love to get a mug of hot coco, sit in my Christmas decorated room while watching one of my favorite Christmas movies, (this year it was The Holiday) and wrap my presents in new and cute ways!

In last years Christmas Wrapping Post, I got amazing name tags from Celeste Clark and this year, I decided to do the same! I absolutely love her Christmas tags and will probably continue using them for as long as she makes them. This year, I decided to wrap my packages in brown paper again because I just love how they turn out, and I also wrapped some in red and white paper that says "May your days be merry and bright" that I got from Hobby Lobby. I decorated my gifts with White Cable Cord and black and grey yarn, also from Hobby Lobby.

Stocking Stuffer Guide

The last thing on my mind and on my Christmas shopping list is always stocking stuffers... anyone else? I always seem to neglect those small last minute items, but this year I thought that I would put together a stocking stuffer gift guide for you and for me, cause you know I need it!

If I Could Spend Christmas Anywhere

I cannot believe we are halfway through December already! Can time go by any faster? I think not.

December is my favorite time to blog because I feel like there are endless topics to write about. I also love to read everyones December posts and see how everyone is spending their Christmas season. Today I thought it would be really cool to write about where I would spend Christmas if I could spend it anywhere.

My Christmas Wish List

When I thought about what I wanted for Christmas this year, I couldn't think of much that I really, really wanted. There were definitely things that I needed like the Ring Light and a new camera lense, but nothing that I desperately wanted except for clothes. So that is what this wish list mostly consists of, cute clothes and other knick knacks.

Has this year gone by way too fast for anyone else? I feel like I was just celebrating the new year a couple months ago and here we are, already in November!

Let's Go To Cali Tomorrow

I did something this weekend that I have never done before. I spontaneously took a trip to California with my mom and we slept in our car. Are we crazy? maybe but it was so much fun!

OOTD || Fall

I never thought that the trend of wearing shirts under our dresses would ever come back but I gotta say I'm loving it! I got this super cute dress from Target and it is just perfect for fall. I paired this dress with a pair of polkadot socks and these buckled ankle boots to make it just a little bit more edgy.

Song of Solomon 4

Today I wanted to share with you guys something a little more personal than my usual Product Review or Fashion post. I was reading the other day in Song of Solomon 4 and it is a chapter that Solomon is admiring his bride and because of the time that this was taken place, the words that were spoken were so beautiful and nothing like I have ever heard from people today.

As I was reading this chapter, I was thinking of how we, the body of Christ, are the bride of Christ and the way that Solomon was admiring his bride is how God admires His creation and His bride. There is one verse that really stands out to me, it is verse 9 and it says:

"You have captured my heart, my treasure, my bride. You hold it hostage with one glance of your eyes, with a single jewel of your necklace." (NLT)

When I read this verse I think of it coming from two perspectives, the first one being from the Lord, talking to me or talking to His bride in general and how much He loves us and that we have captured His heart, we are His treasure, His bride and God is so in love with us.

The second perspective that I see, is from those who know the Lord or those who have just received Him. When the Holy Spirit opens your eyes and you recognize the goodness of the Lord, whether it is the first time your eyes are open to the Lord or your eyes are being reopened to His goodness, you are fully captivated. You get a glimpse into the Lords eyes and you can't help but be fully captivated by Him.

For me, it is a great reminder knowing that the Lord is my husband and provider and His love is more fulfilling and satisfying than any human love I could ever receive. It is helpful to think of this when I get impatient while waiting on the guy whom the Lord will bless me with. Sometimes I get so caught up in the "waiting" for my future husband that I forget that marriage is a blessing and it is not something that I automatically get for being human or by being on this earth. The Lord doesn't have to give me or anybody a spouse but, if He chooses to then it is just that extra blessing.

We should be satisfied with having the Lord as our spiritual husband knowing that His love will fill us more than a physical husband can. Humans let us down, my future husband will let me down and I will let Him down, it's inevitable, but if we are filled with the Lords love, we can know and trust that the Lords love will never end. Now, I don't say all of this because I have it all together, I definitely need this for myself. I sometimes get tired of waiting. I see marriages happening around me and I always think "when will it be my turn", I get so impatient when really I should be using this time to build up my relationship with the Lord and allow His love to be my full satisfaction.

Everyday my prayer is asking the Lord to fulfill my heart, to help me to be content in my singleness and content in seeking Him. Verse 9 is my new go to verse, to remind me that the Lords love is fulfilling and He is my spiritual husband.

He loves you with a fulfilling and fervent love.

I hope that this was able to encourage you and minister to your heart. Lately, I have been wanting to share some more personal posts and things that I go through. My heart and my goal is to one day reach and build a community of young ladies with my blog. I want this to be a place where you can come and share the struggles and successes that you go through and that you will know that there is a community of girls and women here to support you.

Feel free to comment down below or even send over an email! I am always open to meet you and build a friendship with you!

Product Review ||| Naturigin Natural Beauty

If there is one thing that I will always love, it's dying my hair, but I can't stand some things about hair dye. I hate that stinging feeling that normal boxed dyes give me and that chemical smell that makes me feel so light headed. I recently dyed my best friend, Rachel's hair with the Naturigin Hair Dye and I was very surprised when I noticed that it didn't have that awful smell to it and when I asked Rachel her thoughts and review on the Dye she loved the fact that it didn't sting.

Not So Summer Time Outfit

It has been getting hotter and hotter as the weeks go on here in Vegas, but that doesn't stop me from throwing on a jean jacket to tie my outfit together.

I love to pair a simple dress with something a little more edgy like some gladiator sandals and a jean jacket. As I was walking out of the house this morning I thought I would for sure drop dead from the heat but my jean jacket didn't really make me any hotter than I would have normally been. I think I need to re-think my Summer wardrobe.

My Top 5 Beauty Foods

Have you guys ever heard that saying "You are what you eat"? Well, it is so true! What we eat comes out through our skin and if you are filling your body with nutritious food, your skin will reflect that.

I have been suffering from acne on my face for the past couple of years and even though it hasn't cleared, I can honestly say that my skin looks and feels better whenever I am eating healthier and I noticed that whenever I have a milkshake or fries or anything that just is not good,  I break out a little bit more.

I have put together 5 foods that will have your skin feeling and looking great!

<<<<< Chia Seeds >>>>>

Chia seeds contain Zinc and Omega 3's. Zinc helps in fighting, healing, and preventing acne, while Omega 3's have strong anti-inflammatory properties and fight against wrinkles. These little seeds are exactly what your acne is needing! I love putting Chia seeds in my smoothies or in my water, they fill me up without me feeling too bloated.  Click HERE to see more amazing nutritional facts about Chia Seeds.

5 Ways To Deal With and Eliminate Stress

Do you ever feel like you have way too much on your mind and can't even think of where to start so you just put yourself into a panic instead?
I don't know about you but it is quite often that I am feeling overwhelmed by stress lately. I think my problem is that I over commit to things. I will often say yes to so many people or to so many things and before I know it, I am committed to a million things and don't even remember saying yes to the majority of it. A lesson that I have been learning for a little bit now is to not say yes right away to people but to say "hey let me check and get back to you" this way you have a proper amount of time to think about your schedule, think about if you really want to do what your about to say yes to, and you can give them an honest answer.

Though, for those moments that you have said yes to too many things, here are 5 ways to deal with and eliminate the stress that you are under, because face it, we are girls and we will find something to stress about!

Pamper Yourself Girl!

Normally when I get home and I am feeling stressed my mind automatically goes towards a bath.  I know for most girls baths are relaxing, for me baths weren't relaxing until I found out about Lush Bath Bombs and now I look forward to the days that I have a little extra time to take a relaxing and beautifully scented bath.

I'm On Youtube

So if you couldn't tell by the title of this post, then I am saying it again, I'm On Youtube!

Two years ago when I started my blog, I originally wanted to start a Youtube Channel, but I was not confident in myself enough to put myself out there in that way. I am sure you guys know by now my love for Zoe Sugg (Zoella) and when I started watching her videos I was very inspired and wanted to make videos just like her, but had no experience and I felt way too awkward to start putting my life on Youtube like that so I followed in her footsteps and I started a blog first.

When I started my blog I remember thinking to myself that after a year or two of writing my blog that I wanted to start my Youtube Channel. It has now been officially two years and it is time to start my Youtube channel! I am so excited guys and I cannot wait to see where this takes me.

Over on my Youtube channel I did an introduction and 20 facts about me so you guys can get to know the blogger behind the blog!
So enough rambling here, head over you my youtube video to hear more rambling from me.

How To Make Product Collages For Your Blog

I recently searched how to make a product collage for my blog and I came across a few that were great tutorials including the one that inspired this post ( but a lot of the ones I came across required having some sort of software. I thought that I would share with you guys today the easiest way to make a Product Collage.

Summer Essentials

I am so excited that summer is here! Even though I am realizing that I am not in school anymore and I don't have summer vacations, I still really enjoy summer and the feeling that it brings. In Vegas it gets really... I mean really hot, to the point that you sometimes don't even want to leave your house, but nonetheless I am ready and excited.

Around the time Winter is coming to an end I am so ready for Summer and ready to store away all of my Winter items and pull out the things I'll be needing for this warm weather.
I put together a few of my Summer essentials.

Fox In The Hen House

I remember being in school and getting care packages from my mom that were most of the time filled with muffins or other treats that I liked and a love note. Now don't get me wrong, I loved my moms care packages but the ones that the creators of Fox In The Hen House create, are really something special.

The minds behind Fox In The Hen House are none other than your average college students that saw a need and are filling it. They are creating the most unique college care packages that are geared toward the true need of a college student.

"A few college students with minimum experience, but unparalleled initiative began talking freely about what they would want their careers to look like. It was pretty unanimous; none of us wanted the ordinary. We wanted to inspire, and to do that, you have to create."

What is included in these unique care packages:

"Fox in the Hen House" Mug
Hot Cocoa or Coffee Beans
2x Journals
2x Notepads
3x Pens
3x Fox in the Hen House stickers
2x Chapstick
"Fox in the Hen House" Comfort Colors T-shirt
A personal note from the purchaser if sent in someone else's name
And lastly, a "Thank You" note from the amazing creators of Fox In The Hen House

Interview With the Creators:

How did you guys come up with the company name?

So the idea of a "care package" really became popular during the world wars, by organizations such as Red Cross, etc. So-going along with that old/vintage theme, we looked into some wordisms from that time frame that signified that a package had reached its destination and was delivered. Which brought us to "Fox in the Hen House." Back then it meant several things, a soldier had met at a rendezvous, one had snuck behind enemy lines, or when a care package had reached those in need.
So we felt like it was a perfect fit, the fox had reached the hen house. Our care package has reached its destination!

How did you guys come up with the conclusion of creating care packages?

My friend Garrett and I were at a coffee shop one night discussing ideas that would improve our time at college. I stated how I wish my parents could send me a college care package, that isn't simply noodles or cheap plastic pens (things I would use for a few days then toss), but a package that had awesome and efficient stuff.

When did you guys come up with the idea?

The idea and push for the company all began early February in Louisville, KY

What have been the successes and the difficulties with your journey so far?

We've been able to have so much fun, we are not limited at all to what we can create and design. It's been awesome to network and connect with people all over the country that love and support our idea. It's been such a humbling and valuable learning experience thus far. We'll be able to apply the things we learned to make Fox in the Hen House even more efficient and awesome, while still remaining practical.

Start ups aren't cheap, which is why we've been offering gifts in return for donations to get people feeling excited about our August launch and even more great things to come. I'm from Massachusetts, Kyle is from Georgia, while the company is stationed in Kentucky. Sometimes our lives seem all over the place.

While they are still preparing to launch their company they would love your support through donation and in return they will send you a free product (relative to the donation amount).

If you would like to get in touch with Fox in the Hen house you can visit their website and if you would like to follow them through this journey you can follow them on social media.
