If you are subscribed to my Youtube Channel or follow me on Instagram you would know that David and I have been doing the Daniel Fast and we surprisingly LOVE it! We have been getting creative with our food, feeling a ton lighter, and so much more energy. To explain the Daniel Fast, it is a biblical fast and there are a ton of articles on it which have been helpful for us. There is a 10 day or 21 day fast and we are fasting to pray for our upcoming move to Mexico City, our church plant, and a few more specific things. During your Daniel Fast, you cannot eat meat, dairy, sugar, or anything artificial. You can be more extreme with your fast but we decided to forgo the artificial aspect of the fast.  

One thing that was very difficult for us during our fast was the dessert, WE MISSED SUGAR! So I decided to get creative and found an awesome recipe for these sugar free dates! I can't stop making these because we keep eating them the same night we make them! They are so yummy and taste like brownies! With Valentine's Day coming up, these are the PERFECT treat to surprise your hunny with an he won't even know that they are healthy! You will love these, your husband will love these, your kids will love these and they are so healthy, take 5 minutes to make and include 4 ingredients! So lets get into the recipe!

W H A T   Y O U   W I L L   N E E D

A Blender or Food Processor
1/2 Cup Pitted Dates
1/4 Cup Almond Pieces (or you choice of nut)
3 Tbs. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/2 Tsp. Vanilla Extract

Add all your ingredients into the blender or food processor
Once all ingredients are blended roll together into bite sized balls
refrigerate for later or dig in! 

How easy is that?! That is just one reason why I love this recipe and of course because they taste light a naughty treat but are not!
