Is it shocking to anyone else that there are only a few more days of 2015? This year, just like every other, has flown by. This year has been pretty wonderful to me and has given me some pretty amazing memories and I wanted to include you in on this adventure!
In the beginning of the year I was fortunate enough to attend a semester at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta California. This experience was a growing one for sure! It was my first time living away from home and I found that it was a lot harder than I could have imagined it to be. For about the first month I was very homesick but once I started to get closer to the people at school that feeling started to dwindle away, slowly I might add. Basically, I was homesick the whole time but I learned how to deal with it while I was there. I also learned that sometimes you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone and that doesn't come easy for a lot of people. At CCBC I met some amazing people that I know I will remember forever if you would like to read up on some of my experiences at school you can Click Here to do so. Here is one of the amazing sites my talented friend Lacey captured on our way to school.
Another great memory I have from this year is going to the finale of American Idol in L.A. with my friends from school. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had! We were all able to sit in the front row where we got to meet Steven Tyler, be on camera, talk to Ryan Seacrest, and be so close to the contestants we could touch them... but that would be weird right?
Along the lines of California, while I was still in school, my friends and I went to Salvation Mountain. This was one of the best/weirdest experiences I've had. If you don't know, Salvation Mountain is in a very, very, VERY small town in Palm Springs and though the mountain is so cool, the town is slightly creepy. You will just have to see it for yourself to believe it. I encourage everyone to go see Salvation Mountain if you are near Palm Springs. If you want to read about the mountain and the man who created it then go to this site! The day I went here I also got to stand on top of a train but don't worry it wasn't moving although, that would be cool too.
That summer when I came home from school, I got to go see the band JohnnySwim in L.A. with literally all of my friends. It started out with just Corinna and I going and then we found out that everyone was buying tickets too so it was one big group and so much fun! We also got to meet Abner! He came out of the Troubadour moments before they went on to say thank you for coming and to take pictures and talk with people. They are amazing and you need to listen to them right now!
Last but certainly not least was my trip to Chicago! I recently wrote a blog post about my trip which you can see here. If I could, I would relive this trip over and over again. Luckily I have been blessed to be able to go to so many places and I hope you guys get to have those same opportunities too.
I hope that this year will bring you guys great experiences and amazing opportunities and if you ever have a chance to go to Chicago, take it! What have been some of your favorite memories from this year? Have you guys gone on any crazy trips, cool concerts, or had any amazing experiences? Let me know! 2016 I am ready for what you got!
